I have merged both the bass tests together and uploaded the file as a sound file only, which is in .wav format. I’ve fiddled around with a couple of the sound settings and tried to level out some areas as they were considerably louder or quieter than other parts of the video. Hopefully the final version should come out in near perfect quality, but let me know if there’s any overwhelming distortion.

well, you are …
well, you are correct but that’s not the only reason. Sound processor manufacturers know that humans have a limited range of hearing (if a a high frequency is played, you will feel the hair on you neck tingle). That’s why they don’t go through the work of designing the sound card to handle extreme high frequencies. bass is a little harder to cheat on because maybe you don’t hear it but you can feel it.
