marriage??
Most don’t want to use YOUR system (ie christian) they just want the same legal rights and their own commitment ceremony. Therefore, they can have a civil ceremony, as it’s because marriage is for most not a religious institution…it is a bond between two people that love,and care for one another….

In many countries and some states gay marriage is legal. It’s time for the rest of them to come out of the dark ages…..don’t you think?
why should their supposed "sin" be judged any worse than your "sin" ? Have you been following all of your god’s 600+ laws??
Consider Matthew 5:17-20
17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
So, supposedly, according to jesus himself– you are suppose to OBEY ALL THE LAWS AND THE PROPHETS UNTIL HEAVEN AND EARTH DISAPPEAR. This means all of the 600+ laws and the prophets HAVE to be obeyed…
BTW It says nothing about Jesus having fulfilled the laws, or that you are under a new covenant…..it specifically says ANYONE, which means EVERYONE that believes and follows this stuff, and UNTIL HEAVEN AND EARTH DISAPPEAR.
This would include the following and any other ignorant law or command from any of the prophets from the old testament:
Leviticus 15:19
"When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening."
Leviticus 15:20
"Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean."
most christians claim you are sinners and are not perfect and yet you marry, so using your logic, you should not have been given the right to marry either.

Gays can get married, just like anybody else. They just can’t expect everybody to use a brand new definition of a basic word just to make them feel better about themselves.

so now you want government services to be provided in the form of a ceremony? if same sex couples want tax breaks, why can’t they just go fill out some forms? if they want to have a party, they can do it. it seems strange to me that although you reject God, you still want the right to be all ceremonious and sacred about your actions. either you are mocking God, or you think you are better than God, or you want God to recognize you, but are unwilling to do anything to recognize God.
