72 Hour Load Bearing Gear 3/3

In this series I will show you a modified version of the US issue LC-2 LBE (load bearing equipment). This system is specifically setup as a 72 hour survival kit to be used as is without the addition of a backpack. This system is designed to be survival / evasion type gear, NOT a traditional tactical type system. This kit is more of a bare bones kit mainly consisting of essentials to support one person for 1 to 3 days on the move. It is designed to be a lightweight, mobile, and adaptable solution to carrying essential gear in the field. This system is also a perfect setup for day hiking. Video 3 of 3.

    Just an idea, you …
Just an idea, you might want to add a small first-aid kit, and switch your mags to the other side. be much more easy to reload under stress than trying to cross over. if your weapon is already in your right hand.

all in all a very ingenious setup but imo you aded a bit to much food. if you look at the rule of 3′s you can last 3 weeks without food. you probly only needed 1 little tuna bag a maby a cliff bar. and prbly atleast 25ft more of paracord i usaly cary 100 ft cut into 25 foot lengths.

I took notes on all of your videos that you’ve posted, I’ve got about 6 8 1/2 by 11 sheets full of notes. I wrote down everything except for the gun/magazines.. I don’t believe in guns but that’s just me

overall a nice True 72 hour kit. not everything thier i like ( product wise). also the moleskin not a weight killer by any means but for the price of it. i think personally duck tape can do that job alone. moleskin never stays on for me atleast. thank you for sharing

Unless your area always has the same moderately mild wheather, I didn’t see any clothes in your kit (except for the sox and underwear). Wouldn’t you need some layers?

Nice setup! I think the only thing I would add is perhaps a compact Bivy sack, or a lightweight hammock or even a small tent. You could even put a secong tarp on there. Point is this…even for 3 days(72 hrs) you’ll want a portable shelter. Yes you have the poncho but you could attach another item as I mentioned before to the bottom. Just a thought. Again, nice work on that kit!!

NIce set up man.. If there was one thing I miss from the military its the LBE. One suggestion though.. your ammo should be on the opposite side of your firearm.
It makes it easier for faster reloads.. (If needed)

Great job, but if I could make one suggestion it would be bug deterrent. Most ppl overlook it and to their peril. For the type of situation you have this pack ready, bugs will be an annoyance but also could be a troublesome setback. An added plus: low weight, higher moral.

This is just a US military pistol belt. You can find them fairly easy and they are not very expensive at all. Thanks for watching and for your support.

Good kit, if it were me I’d find room for a small container of foot powder, good to have for long hikes. Also a non-lethal defensive option like bear spray & some heavy duty long zip ties to use as handcuffs
