Does anyone own a Liquid Cooling System with their PC (need help)?

Posted by admin on March 3rd, 2010 and filed under system with perfect | 1 Comment »

I am wanting to get my system as perfect as i can, and i have heard it can help a system if done right.

Have you found it to improve your system’s performance?

Is it easy to assemble in the PC?

what would be your best suggestion for a system with:

    AMD processor

    9600 gt Geforce Video card

    3 gigs of memory

    medium tower.

    any help would be apreciated.

You are better off with a fan based system, you risk a lot of trouble putting any liquid in a PC. In the event of a leak you are screwed.
3 fans should more than cool the setup you describe.

Did Jesus have a perfect immune system? Did Jesus ever get sick? Did he catch a cold or get the measles?

Did Jesus get head lice, deal with ‘crabs’, get food poisoning, get drunk, faint, get cancer in his life?

I would think he came into contact with all the diseases and ailments which any other person at that time could have struggled through. There is quite a bit of his life which isn’t told. He did hunger and thrist so by no means if he had those discomforts that he wouldn’t have had other discomforts as well.

How too have a perfect tax system and government?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under system with perfect | 1 Comment »

First we change from a income tax too a consumer tax, you will have a basic tax amount on anything you buy, that will cover your local services such as Police and Fire, then you can have a choice of being in Medicare or Coop health care or your Insurance company, if you choose Medicare you are invoiced by them x dollars a month tax too be in that, if you are in the Coop you pay a tax for that and if you deal with insurance you make your deal with them, everyone joins and pays for their own deal. This could be done in many sectors of government and would eliminate the spending of intended things such as Social security on wars instead of retirement, you could chose too be in Social security or own your own in a private retirement system but only being tax for what you join, this could also be done in foreign policy, say a President wants too invade a country, a vote could be taken over the internet and if it had strong enough approval, those who voted for it could pay a tax for the war, if you don’t support it you don’t pay the tax, all major items would have to be voted on by the citizens, and those who supported certain items would pay the tax on it, if you want mass transit, you pay the tax for it, if you don’t want it don’t pay and don’t get access too use it, military in Europe and elsewhere could be on a monthly charge too those countries, this would be true Liberty.

Yes, the FairTax, replaces the income and payroll tax with a single retail sales tax. The hidden embedded tax passed on in prices would be gone. Jobs would soar. The U.S would become the world’s tax haven.

Anybody tried Don Sullivan’s The Perfect Dog system?

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010 and filed under system with perfect | 4 Comments »

Saw an infomercial for this dog training video and equipment: http://www.thane.com/products/promos/perfectdog/perfectdog.php

Have you purchased this? What was your experience with it? Would you recommend?

This is a great example of someone being very savvy in how they use the internet. Do a quick search of "Don Sullivan" and "Perfect Dog" and you find a gazillion forums with a question and then a couple of responses that are all positive (without explaining the technique). Yet strangely, the responses seem to read the same…"he’s a down to earth guy" or "true to the promises in the infomercial" or "saw results within weeks" or "worked better than anything I’ve ever tried".

    1. Don Sullivan claims that treats don’t work. Yeah, if you’re luring. But decades of operant conditioning research (with humans and species such as dolphins, horses, cats, orcas and certainly dogs) has proven this to be wrong. The problem is you’ve got a bunch of old time, out-of-touch with new research, people who think that treats are bribes. They aren’t. What you’re doing is shaping the association that a dog has with a particular event.

    2. He doesn’t use a marker (for dogs that would be a clicker, for dolphins or orcas, a whistle) Research has shown that this is the simplest, fastest way to train. All serious animal trainers at places like SeaWorld or in Hollywood animal trainers rely on them.

    3. His technique is build around a modified plastic prong collar. Yes, it will change behavior but only a very superficial way. For instance, let’s suppose your dog gets frantic when strangers approach the door and begins to bark rapidly. You use the Sullivan collar and the barking stops. Problem solved? Not quite. The dog likely transfers the behavior to something. For instance, it would probably become more likely to bite.

The point I’m making is that pain and adversive behavior doesn’t solve WHY the dog does what it does, it just shifts the behavior. So if your dog is threatened by a neighboring dog and begins barking whenever that dog appears so you "correct" than your dog doesn’t suddenly feel that the other dog isn’t a threat, it just doesn’t bark. Instead, it may look for an opportunity to attack. Or it may feel that you can’t be trusted. Or the dog may be more likely to flee.

For decades, old school trainers have used choke collars and prong collars to train dogs. Of course they can produce behavior change. But what we’ve conclusively found is that it doesn’t change WHY the dog was behaving that way, the behavior is transferred to something else, it often produces aggressive dogs or aggressive behavior and it doesn’t improve bonds with the handler or owner. But other than that, it’s effective.

I’ll give you one last thought: I compete in agility. At the highest levels, absolutely none of the handlers I know of would treat their dogs this way. And some of them run rescues (so it’s not that they have some rare unique dog different from the rest of us). Some of those agility folks have dogs that do tricks shows or TV ads for dog products–again, they’d never think of using such behavior.

Save your money. It’s much like BarkBusters in that it’s all promo. Far better to invest in something like Patricia McConnell’s books (the Other End of the Leash is a good one) or Leslie McDevitt’s "Control Unleashed" (if you’ve got a reactive dog) or visit Shirley Chong’s website.

    Sharpener Type: V Sharp

Base Materials: Wood (optional Granite for $21.95)
    Hone Material: Diamond, Steel

Grit Types: 325 Standard with Steels (optional 600, 1000 for $24.95 per pair)

    Strops: None

Notes: Sharpens both sides of knife bevel at same time, and standardizes each sharpening to ensure bevel remains same every time.

    MSRP: $89.95
    Available: Now

    Manufacturers website:

    http://www.warthogsharp.com

The Warthog VSharp is a good sharpening system overall. It has its good and bad attributes, but I still would recommend it for anyone interested in it. It sharpens both sides of the blade at the same time, and is pretty idiot proof after a slight learning process.

    Advantages:

+It gets the knife sharp on both sides of the knife
+Good maintenance of bevel on blade, since it sharpens the same angle every time
    +Easy to use
+Comes with steels to finish honing and polishing
    +Adjustable bevel angle (17, 20, 25 degrees)
    +Fast sharpening

    Disadvantages

-Fit and finish is not as good as it could be, although it does not effect performance and not so bad as to be CCC
    -Price
-Diamond impregnation on sharpening rods only on one side
-High cost of additional rods in higher grits
-Changing rod angles more tedious than needed
-Steels require a little bit of work to get in the slots
    -Poor instructions with unit
-Can mar finish on blades with larger geometries, although not significantly
-As with any V sharpening system, it is impossible to sharpen entirely to the choil on knives on both sides, one side will always be slightly higher than the other
-Guides make some knives not fit all the way in, making the first bit of bevel from the choil impossible to reach

    Overall impressions:

I personally like the system, although not perfect, its flaws are minor and it does do a good job getting your knife sharp in a hurry. I would recommend this to anyone interested.

how did the development of microscopes cause problems for taxonomists?

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under system with perfect | 1 Comment »

how and why did it cause problems
also, why is no other classification system perfect or better then our taxonomy system (with the latin names and such)

Traditional taxonomists would study large objects, such as animals or plants. They could describe e.g. how many petals a flower had, or the shape of the beak of a bird.
The small organisms visible with a microscope are usually unicellular. There is not much else to see than a round cell. So it is not easy to distinguish the different kinds. Of course, there are some categories, such as filamentous bacteria, cocci (round) and rods, but that’s basically it. So the lack of distinct properties of microorganisms (no tails, beaks, colors, petals, etc) makes it very hard to group them.

Not sure what you mean with the second question. Actually, for microorganisms, and for bacteria in particular, phylogeny on the ribosomal DNA sequences is considered to be superior to taxonomy, for the reasons explained above.

Don Sullivan’s Perfect Dog system? Shock collar?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under system with perfect | 3 Comments »

    Whats with the collar?
Does that cause discomfort, or pain to dogs?
    o.o

Did this system work for you?

    Thank you!

    Yes, shock collars hurt.
Generally, there are different settings from "Walking on carpet in socks then shocking someone" to "OMG, am I on fire?"

When used correctly, the pain teaches the dog to avoid the things/behaviors that caused it pain.

Shock collars should only be used in extreme situations, and to correct a specific behavior. Example: cat killing. If you want your dog to quit killing cats, get him a shock collar and everytime he looks at a cat, zap him.

Positive reinforcement, and setting boundaries work far better than shock collars.

Is the 2-party system the perfect final end of what America considers "democracy"?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under system with perfect | 2 Comments »

is showing up to the voting booth once in a while to tick boxes of candidates whom you barely had any say in representing "your" party (especially when MOSTLY ALL politicians, no matter what side of the aisle they sit on, are in the pockets of those rich & powerful enough to contribute to their campaign funds), the true meaning of democracy?

what we have is a tyranny of the majority that occurs every 2/4 years, in constant flux. there is consistent, mostly uneducated, bickering about how the other side is wrong, when the truth is that we the people voluntarily give in to being controlled at all by politicians who are really not interested in representing the people. a single individual or party CANNOT side with everyone, thats only for when they are on the campaign trail.

never will everyone in the country agree on anything, so why do we act like it’s supposed to happen, and allow each side of the aisle rule the other side every so often? since it won’t, why dont the states control mostly everything. then people can move to whatever state suits their political opinions.

in my opinion, democracy can only take place locally, not in a distant fairy tale called washington that is only seen on the television & in the newspapers.

IS THIS DEMOCRACY PEOPLE? COME ON. if ya’ll think it is, i’m bouncin.

I believe there are two major political parties because there are really only two directions you can go… left and right.

In a nutshell… the Left thinks the Government should handle any and all social problems. The Right thinks the Government’s power should be limited to protect individual liberty.

In short, the further left you go, the more powerful the Government until you reach totalitarianism…

The further Right you go, the Individual becomes more powerful over their own life until you reach Anarchy.
