Socialized as well as private medicine is imperfect in isolation. Coexistence of both the systems is the best health care one can think of. It helps in balancing. Poor are ensured of proper medical care and those who can afford to pay have access to the best quality of medical facilities as and when required without any waiting list. In spite of bad name of Indian situation, combination and coexistence has proved most effective system in India. There are no waiting lists, if you can afford to pay. Cost of medicines and medical treatment including complex operations is just peanuts in India compared to any developed country. And, competence of Indian doctors is second to none.
References :
it is a very big shame for our country.

250 million do have medical insurance, and 50 million without any insurance.

the ones who do have medical insurance they thing nothing will
effect them. wrong
God forbid if any one with medical insurance ends up with something so big, then the real battle starts, insurance company's with their stupid policy's will Denni all sorts of tests, all sorts of surgery's, and all sorts of other none issues,
just because for them not to lose any profits.

and lets not forget the pharmaceuticals, a friend of mine has to pay $600.00 each month for her medicine it is not cover by her insurance and not generic is available for her.

so my friends, we all are doomed.

the ones who do not have medical insurance, like me and my family, us we have to take every morning one pill of not get sick, one pill of becarefull not to have any accident, and on and on.
References :
The World Health Organization in a major report rated the ever famous US Health Care System as 37th.
When I was in elementary school being 37th didn't mean you were the best, being 1st ment you were the best.
By the way U.K was 18th, ahead of US and France was 1st.

The answer to your ignorance would be if the Democrats bring the US Health Care System close to 18th or 1st spot, it would be called an "IMPROVEMENT", once again read if very slowly ................. we are at 37th............... UK at 18th............. France at 1st .................. if you move closer to them .................. because we adapted a similar format ............. it would be called .................. an................"IMPROVEMENT".
References :
http://www.managedcaremag.com/archives/0404/0404.worldsbest.html

Ask one of the 40,000,000 Americans who can't go to the doctor ?

All knowledge is good

And it seems all knowledge is the enemy of right wing propaganda
References :
Please provide evidence of either of your claims - that people die waiting for treatment or that people over 55 do not get treatment in Britain.

Greatest healthcare system in the world??? This is about the funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

The US pays more per capita than any country on Earth for healthcare. Yet our system is providing us with substandard health care. We have the lowest life expectancy, the lowest healthy life expectancy and the worst child mortality in the developed world.

Britain and Canada do not represent some loopy left experiment. EVERY developed nation in the world offers some form of universal health coverage with the exception of the US. And we are left paying more than them for a product that does not deliver.

Why are republicans so opposed to this? Wouldn't a healthier workforce mean better productivity and more of your oh so important profits.
References :
www.who.org

Is that the best you can do? Repeat the same unsourced nonsense with the addition of an unsourced quote. You have not provided a link to anything that proves either of the assertions I challenged (that people have died or that those over the age of 55 do not get covered).
You have omitted the fact that waiting lists in Britain have been falling from thier peaks in 1997 due to proper funding from Blair after years of neglect by a conservative government. As you choose not to support your statements they can be given no validity whatsoever.
When faced with sourced data - you do not address it - instead you make a pathetic attempt to attack the (very reliable and non-partisan ) source. You have not answered or even attempted to answer the question why you claim universal health care will be more expensive when the US currently spends more per capita and a greater proportion of GDP on health care than any other country in the world. You have not attempted to explain why you want to continue doing so when this massive expenditure continues to produce third world life expectancy and child mortality figures (a child has a better chance of making it to 5 years old in Cuba than they do in the US - doesn't that make you feel ashamed).
And how did France "come to it's senses" all of a sudden? They elected a president from the same party as the previous one - who had been in the cabinet of the previous one - an who steadfastly supports universal healthcare.
Those are the facts. I have provided my source - it is unimpeachable.
You just continue to rant.
