Why do Cons think all Liberals are against Capitalism, and what would you do to perfect our capitalist system?

I am a capitalist — but I think we need a fairer social contract and the means to enforce it ~

By having a gov”t that is beholden to the middle class.

Capitalism works best when the most people can participate.

Trickle-down economics destroys the middle class by pushing wealth upwards into a concentration of a very few super-wealthy individuals. They didn’t use their tax breaks to raise salaries or create more jobs. They outsourced the jobs, cut workers pay and bought themselves more foreign vacation house, bigger yachts and more Ferraris.

Senator Bernie Sanders just pointed out this month that 400 richest families have as much wealth as 150,000,000 Americans combines. Republican Steve Forbes, arguing for a flat tax points out that 14,583 wealthiest Americans have alMOst three times the wealth of the the bottom 50% (everybody under $50,000)

For capitalism to work we need to fight the extreme gluttony and excessive greed of a few super billionaires at the very tip top, so more of us can participate in the American dream

How to create an perfect home audio system for an ipod?

Moving into flats next year and want to put together a decent sound system. I already have a Bose speaker dock but want to move into a more surrounding experience. I don’t know much about audio systems but realise the importance of speaker placement and the variety of speakers present. The rooms is 3 x 7 (meters) and any advice will be useful! i have a budget of around £750 and just want a good quality system!
Thanks

First, recognize that an iPod is far from a high quality sound source. The point being that MP3s are (generally) fairly poor quality recordings. Second, MP3 is not a surround format, so unless you use some type of matrix format to simulate surround sound from MP3 you are not going to get surround.

That said there are some speaker systems that don’t do a bad job of making an iPod the heart of a basic stereo music system.

See the link for some suggestions.

Personally, I’d suggest considering a CD based system (DVD/CD player, receiver, speakers) or if you want surround (and are willing to pay a premium price for surround recordings … SACD, DVD-A, etc) look at a SACD or DVD-A capable home music system. Your budget of £750 will certainly allow you to get into a low end DVD/receiver/speaker system setup … although it won’t give you anything wonderful it will almost undoubtably beat an iPod based system.

What movie is this? Guy who designs a perfect security system…?

A father designs the perfect security system for his home. His daughter’s boyfriend along with other people break into the house because the father’s daughter gave her boyfriend the code.

I’m pretty sure that it is the movie "Fear" with Reese Witherspoon, Mark Wahlberg, William Petersen, Amy Brenneman and Alyssa Milano.

"Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon) is a fairly innocent teenager, living with her overbearing father, Steven (William Petersen) (whom she has a rebellious relationship with), her stepmother, Laura (Amy Brenneman), and her stepbrother, Toby (Christopher Gray). At a rave, she meets David McCall (Mark Wahlberg) and is swept off her feet by his sweet, polite nature. Steven does not trust David from the moment he meets him."

Hope this helps!

I’m confused with the Latin Perfect System, somene help me please?

I’m taking a Latin class and my book does NOT help me at all and i’m confused when the teacher explains it to me. Here are only TWO questions and I would like the answer and the explaination of the answer if that’s okay, and I would also like someone to help me understand the Perfect System better:

Choose the present and perfect stems for the following verbs:
do, dare, dedi, datus

Choose the present and perfect stems for the following verbs:
augeo, augere, auxi, auctus

well do you know what the perfect is in english? it’s "i gave"

do, dare, dedi, datus are what is called the Principal Parts of a verb.
Do = I give
Dare = To give
Dedi = I gave
Datus = Given (like, "the books are given to the kids")

therefore, the present is Do
and the perfect is Dedi

Augeo = I increase
Augere = To increase
Auxi = I increased
Auctus = Increased (like, "the salary has been increased")

the perfect works by changing the stem/root of a verb slightly, and adding endings… the only way to know how the stem changes is basically to learn them.

Augere’s perfect stem is Aux, and then you add the perfect endings;

Auxi
Auxisti
Auxit
Auximus
Auxistis
Auxerunt

HOPE I HELPEDDD!!! :)

Perfect audio system for BMW 325i 2002?

I would like to buy a complete audio system for my car but I have no idea and knowledge about car audio systems, what will be a nice/quality combo?

Answering this is like trying to answer how many stars in the sky….there are infinitely many "good" combinations, without knowing a few things I.E. budget, taste in music etc its kinda hard to steer you in the right direction, plus what I may deem as perfect may be totally different from what you or the next guy like, shop around hit up some audio shops and tell them what you are after, they will be able to help you find something that satisfies your ears and your wallet.

Sub Woofer will not work with my Playstation 3. Help!?

I just got a Sony STR-DG720 7.1 channel receiver. I also just

got a Insignia-5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System. This

is my first surround setup Ive ever had so im not so sure how to

use it. I hooked everything up, the speakers to the receiver and

the sub woofer to the receiver. I Hooked my Time Warner HD

Cable Box up by HDMI to the Receiver and My Playstation 3 by

HDMI to the receiver. The receiver is connected through HDMI

to my TV. Tv sounds great, all of the speakers work and the sub

woofer is very powerful. When I use the Playstation 3 however i

get perfect sound from all of the speakers but the sub woofer

does not function at all. Somebody please help me out. Thanks
Daniel, my speakers and sub are connected to a receiver, and you can use surround sound on a playstation 3 with HDMI you dont have to use optical because my Reciever processes audio/visual through HDMI

You need to connect your PS3 to a receiver where the speakers and subwoofer is connected. You cannot connect the speakers/subwoofer directly to the PS3.

The PS3 comes with an optical audio connection which is required if you want to get surround sound (and thumping bass) from your PS3.

It is possible to get surround systems for about $150-200, but I can’t really say they’re that good… Just be sure the system you get comes with a RECEIVER – not one of those cheap DVD players with the speakers directly attached to it. Those don’t have any additional inputs.

Problems with Coaxial Audio from DVD to Home Theater Receiver…Help?

We just bought a new Home Theater system yesterday (because the last one we owned only had basic Left Right audio entries.) However when I connected the Coaxial Audio cable from my DVD player to the home theater receiver, I can hear the noise, except it sounds like if it skips. The sound just comes out like in pauses with a very brief pause constantly.. almost like a pulse sound. When I tried my normal TV using the Left Right (Red/White) audio cables the sound sounds perfect, also with all the other sources. This problem is only with the Coaxial Audio input.

I don’t know if this would have anything to do with it, but since we just got the system, I haven’t had time to set it up around our living room, so I only have the speakers ligned up on the floor with a couple inches within each other.

Could it be the cable that’s bad?(even though it came brand new with the home theater)

Quick troubleshoot:
1) Try another dvd (if you haven’t already)
2) Use another RCA cable to temporarily replace the coaxial digital audio cable, and test your setup. (Yes, a ‘standard’ RCA cable can pass digital audio data).
Fix your problem? then find a permanent replacement cable

Problem still occurring? Then use the DVD player setup menu for digital audio output settings. Certain receivers do not play well with PCM vs. bitstream digital audio signals – or vice-versa. Refer to your manuals about these settings.

NOTE in addition to coax or optical digital audio connections, connect the analog stereo audio cables too. Many receivers use a "auto-polling" feature in the event of signal loss; it will automatically search for an analog signal if digital is dropped.
