  • BUDDHIST DO NOT BELIVE IN HINDUSIM VISHNU AVTARE?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under perfect balance system | 10 Comments »

HI i was just thinking why hindusim is claiming buddhism as hindusim buddhist was a born hindu but buddha never accept vedas basically they are two totally different religions. Hinduism is a polytheistic belief system. All of these gods are part of brahman, an indestructable world soul (so to speak) that all things are a part of. The many gods merely represent different aspects of brahman, the divine unity. The three gods that are considered important in Hinduism are Brahma, the creator, who is represented by earth; Vishnu, the preserver, who is represented by water; and Shiva, the destroyer, who is represented by fire. Their consorts, from which they derive their power, are Sarasvati, Lakshmi, and Parvati. In the Early Vedic Period, Varuna was considered the god of gods and received the highest respect. The goal of Hinduism is to transcend the wheel of reincarnation and reach moksha, literally "perfect understanding" (of the balance between their soul, atman, and the world soul, Brahman), and become one with brahman. To do so one must follow the laws of karma and samsara, cycles of causality and rebirth.
Buddhism is an atheistic belief system founded ny Prince Siddhartha who, after his enlightenment, became Buddha. The goal of Buddhism is to reach nirvana, enlightenment and the end of suffering. The tennants of Buddhism teach that desire causes suffering, so to end suffering desire must be ended. Both religions originated in India. Buddhism actually arose from Siddhartha’s discontent with suffering. Buddhism does not believe in a God as a creator. Buddhism also rejects the idea of the Atman (soul) as a unchanging entity. Buddhism’s main tenents are all things are impermanent (Sanskrit: anitya), things are always changing (Sanskrit: anatma), change creates suffering (Sanskrit: dukha). At the time of Buddha, Hinduism was not the religion it is today, merely a blending of the ancient people of the Indus River Valley’s Harrapan civilization and the nomadic Aryan’s religions, which evolved over the years. The term Hinduism as such was coined long after the Buddha’s time. At the time there were many competing philosophies. He also spurned ascetic’s habits of self-mutilation and mortification that was prevalent at the time.

    You are wrong.
Perhaps you should study a religion somewhat before going on a tirade about it.
hinduism did exist long before buddhism which you cannot deny.there are many scientific poofs of this. Many scientist or historian have proved it and reached to conclusion not just by mere imaginations but by using appropriate scientific techniques such as carbon dating of ancient texts, monuments , various astronomical proof etc. they have concluded that they belonged to 2nd millennium BC.

and many historians dated gautam buddhas lifetime from c. 563 BCE to 483 BCE.

so you yourself compare the period.

infact sanskrit is the oldest language which was originated from hinduism.

for me teachings of buddism and hinduism are same. all the religions are same.To understand this one should study every religion thoroughly.

i have done lots of research on it, then i have reached to the conclusion.

i have witnessed many miraculous hindu saints and sages of india.

prophecies were foretold by various ancient saints of india who were
born long before lord buddha that lord vishnu would take birth/reicarnation as lord buddha in future.

all prophecies fore told are true because i have my self witnessed a prophecies foretold by an ancient sage/saint about a saint presently residing in puri (orissa).

vedas were developed by various saints and god for the benifit of humanity. They are believed to have immense energies, so in order to avoid the misuse of vedas they were written in coded word which would have different meaning. thus in kali yuga these texts were misinterpreted before the birth of gautam buddha.

When Buddha came, people were misinterpreting the Vedic Texts and were slaughtering animals. So Vishnu came as Buddha and decided to reject the Vedas created by him self. That way, they wouldn’t misinterpret the texts and kill animals if they disowned the Religion.

and more over aryans were not nomadic during the period of gautam buddha. there were many aryan kings, wariors with their well established kingdom during that period.

please make a proper research before passing comment on any religion.

Buddhism is not the same as Hinduism. Most people don’t even consider Buddhism a religion, it’s more a way of life.

Most Hindus accept that Buddhism is a seperate religion. But there will always be a handful of people who claim otherwise….

mahayana buddhists believe buddha’s in general to be an incarnation of krisha, avatar of vishnu. Theravade buddhists do not believe in any gods. Japanese Buddism is often combined with Shintoism, which makes belief in the divine spirits called kami a fact.

There are many different forms of buddism.

the faiths do overlap a bit and are not mutually exclusive… i dont quite understand your anger.

Bfor Buddha, Vedas and purana’s came,..they gave info, about Avatar’s of vishnu?,.then how come, you say Buddhism is different??
At the very outset, I may tell you that there is no polytheism in India. In every temple, if one stands by and listens, one will find the worshippers applying all the attributes of God, including omnipresence, to the images. It is not polytheism, nor would the name monotheism explain the situation. "The rose called by any other name would smell as sweet." Names are not explanations.

Did Buddha bring anything new? He just took the renunciation path advised for the retired in Sanatana Dharma and advised it to all. Even the concept of Nirvana is taken from the Hindu concept of Moksha. Buddhists cannot win a debate based on Dharmic principles with Hindus. Who will give the Bhiksha if everyone renounces their householder duty and becomes a monk? The householder is central to Hinduism.
Lord Krishna is supreme and Bhagavada Gita is the sum and essense of Dharma. I don’t believe Buddha to be an avatar. Only appeasers do. Pusyamitra Sunga was great. Buddha was just an escapist who did not look after his family or his kingdom and lived off begging in the prime of his productive life. He did not attain enlightenment. All he found was a lazy, self absorbed way to live. Buddhism makes you a parasite who wants to benefit from society but not contribute to it’s well being. They are hypocrites who seek the protection of others but not fight for what is right and to defend the society they benefit from. Bddhism cannot create or sustain a society. Buddhism weakened people and was responsible for the advent of Islam through Afghanistan. What happened to the Bamiyan Buddhas? Where is Tibet now?

It really makes me feel sad to read hindusim is claiming buddhism as hindusim my need is of correct and authentic knowlegde of Buddhism. To me Its Very important to have clarity about Buddha and about the Dhamma. The Buddha himself in his teachings of Kalam Sutta has guided
to the kalams whem they went to him and asked him this qouestion "lord many people come to us and tell many different things and claim that what they are telling is the best, so we are confused and dont know whom we should beleive". The answer which buddha gave to kalams is worth consedering and reflecting as he has placed great confidence in human intelligence to test every thing even the words of buddha, as the goldsmith tests the gold, before you start beleiveing anything or giving it place in your life.kalam sutta is like the declaration of human Independence. and Kalam Sutta is the very answer to the question Buddha has given himself to everyone who says that Buddha was the avtara of vishnu or krishna or any other god or creator. If one believes oneself and his own experiences before trying to establish any view about Buddha or his Dhamma they should refer only to the Kalam sutta if not complete Dhamma teaching.
