Here is my updated setup. Two twelve inch Infinity 122.7 subwoofers, two 6 1/2 Infinity Kappa speakers, two 6×9 Infinity Kappas all three way. The system sounds good but is more for sound quality than SPL. The system sounds great but I wish it was a bit louder I guess. All in all I like it. I am using an Infinity 7541a for the components, and an Infinity 1211a mono amp running at 1200rms 2ohms for the subs. I am using a 1.7 Farad cap and and optima yellow top battery. I still get dimming though? Maybe the cap is junk or isnt big enough? Anyway, comments, sugestions? Also, the sub enclosures are sealed. If you run these subs sealed you need at least 1200W RMS or more. I am running that between the two of mine an they do not even get warm. Songs are by Lil John, Throw it up and What U Gonna Do?

A new alternator is the ultimate solution IMO. Otherwise once your second battery runs outa juice it won’t recharge with a crap unless you drive around for a while with the stereo off.

I’d build a huge ported box for the subs, face the ports either to the side of the car or the trunk, and it’ll help dramatically. You would think having them face you would be the best thing, but its really not.
