You rely on your triple bass pedal too much. Your not doing anything very special with your hands and you require a double or triple bass pedal to make it flashy. I suggest maybe playing different styles like jazz to really make your hands work too, Or maybe playing single bass for a while and just try to make up cool beats and stuff…

thanx dude…the yamaha is a good budget set to get….probably the best of the budget sets speciually if u expand it like this. // as far as the feel is concerned, just change the snare to any mesh pad…koby drums sells a 10 inch mesh pad for 50 £.

I’ve been drumming for over a decade now… I’ve always wanted an electronic set, and I considered the DTxpress yamaha, but at the time I didn’t like the feel… Someday though.. when I have the time, I think I’m gonna build as much DIY as I can like you have yourself.. Thats an awesome looking set, and must be great setting up different kit sounds and head placements anytime you feel like it.. No tuning is kinda nice =)
