First we change from a income tax too a consumer tax, you will have a basic tax amount on anything you buy, that will cover your local services such as Police and Fire, then you can have a choice of being in Medicare or Coop health care or your Insurance company, if you choose Medicare you are invoiced by them x dollars a month tax too be in that, if you are in the Coop you pay a tax for that and if you deal with insurance you make your deal with them, everyone joins and pays for their own deal. This could be done in many sectors of government and would eliminate the spending of intended things such as Social security on wars instead of retirement, you could chose too be in Social security or own your own in a private retirement system but only being tax for what you join, this could also be done in foreign policy, say a President wants too invade a country, a vote could be taken over the internet and if it had strong enough approval, those who voted for it could pay a tax for the war, if you don’t support it you don’t pay the tax, all major items would have to be voted on by the citizens, and those who supported certain items would pay the tax on it, if you want mass transit, you pay the tax for it, if you don’t want it don’t pay and don’t get access too use it, military in Europe and elsewhere could be on a monthly charge too those countries, this would be true Liberty.
Yes, the FairTax, replaces the income and payroll tax with a single retail sales tax. The hidden embedded tax passed on in prices would be gone. Jobs would soar. The U.S would become the world’s tax haven.
