What’s a great highend car audio system?

What’s a great highend car audio system?
So far Im thinking of getting a
Kenwood Excelon XXV-01D 25th Anniversary CD player with MP3 / WMA / AAC playback
Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 component speakers in front
Infinity Kappa 693.7i 3-way 6×9 Speakers in the rear
JL AUDIO RBC-1 Bass Knob
(2) JL Audio 13W7 13.5" Subwoofer with
(2) JL Audio 1000/1 Class D Monoblock Subwoofer Amplifier
Power Acoustik PC20C 20 Farad Hybrid Super Capacitor w/ Blue Digital Voltage Display, Blue Flash LED

Kenwood KDV-S210P DVD Player
(2) LZ-702IR 6.95" Wide Rear Monitor
Would you stick with this or start over with something else? Is it true that the 13w7′s are the best subs money can buy?

head unit would be better if it were a pioneer, alpine or eclipse. amps without a doubt zapco. mids zapco , rainbow , mb quart. as far as subs go with treo, image dynamics, or boston acoustic. jl subs are over rated and way over priced. if you research jl has never won anything except for a few innovation awards. never use oval speakers they have no real sound quality no matter how much you pay. and without a doubt upgrade your electrical system. that means high output alternator, deep cycle battery and big 3.

I think you made some good choices, I would suggest you upgrade your alternator and add second battery / batteries (Kinetik or Optima yellow top) and don’t buy the capacitor. All power comes from alternator anyway. alt charges battery, cap pulls from battery and holds charge, and amp pulls from cap. I don’t think the w7 are the best money can buy, but that’s my opinion. I have One 12" Kicker SOLOX.

Honestly…. If I was looking for a highend system none of that equipment would be going in my car.

Headunit would be nakamichi or top of the line eclipse

components would be either focal, CDT, Morel, or rainbow

6×9′s have poor SQ so those wouldn’t even be in the car.

The W7 is a very over rated sub, it had its day in the sun and now its over…. you go to any comp and there is barely any W7′s there anymore, for SPL they are lacking and for SQ you can buy cheaper that has a better responce.

Subs for a highend system would be a simple choice for me,
    TC Sounds LMS-5400 15. now thats a bad@** sub.

    Amps probably zapco

Everything I have listed would be considered highend by any audiophile

    Good Luck

first off , kenwood a no-no, pioneer 880 prs, or the eclipse cd 7000, or the panasonic with the link below ! kenwood, noo no.
check out the focal or mb quart speakers, morel definetely expensive, or a sure shot with the boston aucoustic components, -(bad azz)
for subs, you want quality bass, then the image idmax subs brother or the boston aucoustic g5 subs, sick subs, dont cost ass much as the jl’s and sound awesome, i have the jbl gti’s and those are sick sq subs also.
i like the amps, but price wise there expensive, go with the alpine pdx monoblock, good amp, dont kill the electrical and great features – plus its small as hell- perfect for installs- with 1000w rms at 4 or 2 ohms-(tough amp to beat in that range for the watts, plus the ohm rating!)
ok, get a cap, but i would get a alternator before a cap, better choice- you might spend a little more, but your better off in the end-(you wont regret that purchase at all in the end!)
ok the rear deck, well 6×9 dont cut it, and if you get some good front end clarity i would not worry about the 6x9in the rear- your driving the car in the front, not the back.
p.s- i have the pioneer dehp880prs and that radio is bad azz, tons of audio adjustments, and it cant be beat, the only radio that pretty much compares is the eclispe cd7000 and that only if you gonna use the nagivation,if not , it has alot of audio adjustments, also crutchfield has a panasonic deck-(yeah i know panasonic- right- but this one particular radio is sick heres the link

Subwoofer Output: In addition to front and rear preamp outputs, the receiver has a non-fading, two-channel subwoofer output. You can adjust the volume of the subwoofer output from -6dB to +6dB in 2dB increments. In addition, you can adjust the frequency of the built-in low pass filter from 60Hz to 160Hz in 5Hz increments, or the filter can be turned off.= GREAT FEATURE!

High Pass Filter: The receiver’s built-in high-pass filter can be set to 90Hz to 225Hz in 5Hz increments or turned off. =(AWESOME)

Super Bass Control Subwoofer (SBC-SW): When a subwoofer is not connected, the rear speakers can be used as a substitute subwoofer. When the SBC-SW is activated, the subwoofer level and low pass filter settings are applied to the rear speaker outputs.(NOT MANY DO THIS=AWESOME)

SRS CS Automotive: SRS Circle Surround Automotive (CS Auto) lets you experience a natural sound field anywhere in the vehicle, unlike other sound field manipulation methods such as time delay. SRS TruBass can be applied independently to front and rear speakers and the subwoofer. SRS Focus can be applied independently to front and rear speakers, or mixed between front and rear. There are 3 CS Auto presets: Music (default for sources other than AM radio), Cinema, or Mono (default for AM).(TUNE THE SOUND BY EAR=PLUS!)

SQ9: The CQ-C8803U features a SQ9 "Sound Quality" 9-band equalizer with selectable center frequencies and 6 EQ presets. The presets include Rock, Pop, Vocal, Jazz, Club and Flat. You can further adjust the presets at any of the 9 EQ bands and save the custom settings into memory for instant recall. The 9 bands can be adjusted from -12dB to +12dB and you can choose the center frequency from the following (default center frequency in bold): =(VERY IMPORTANT) DOWN BELOW SHOW YOU EVERYTIME YOU CHANGE THE BASS TO GO UP OR DOWN YOU CAN GO EITHER UP OR DOWN IN EITHER DIRECTION IN 12 STEPS= NOTHING COMPARES EXCEPT THE PIONEERS AND THE ECLIPSE.

I install car audio for a living my personal experance is kenwood should stick to home systems
Alpine or Eclipse are the best decks or headunits
infinity makes great speakers again i cant say anything bad about JL audio speaker and Jl audio make a good sub amp
you will need to add a smaller amp to feed mids
as for the cap it is a great investment to keep it all running smooth (but dont forget too look at the battery and the charging system it take power to make power) really its what you can afford i have put some systems to gether for people who could not afford the best and these system sound very good too.
